The People’s Plate Pamphlet, from Otabenga Jones & Associates (2014), was inspired by the Black Panther Free Breakfast for School Children Program. A collaborative art project and public health program addressing the ongoing crisis of obesity and its related risks, the pamphlet served to provide at-risk community members with a set of tools that encourage self-sufficiency and empowerment to maintain their own health through food choices while building a community.
